i have had this Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop for 10 years and now my mouse pad is timing out. it will not move or click but i can plug in a mouse and it will work (the plugged in mouse) plz help i would like to have this laptop for as long as i can
I wasn't able to find a replacement touchpad on the Dell website so I suspect you might not be able to get one. It might seem a little trite but I'm tempted to say you have already had this laptop as long as you can. Keep using it by all means with a plug-in mouse if that's what it takes but it's really not worth spending any $$ on repair.
