hdd no-longer dected

Specs: Windows 7 ultimate, 1.5g
i just installed a 3rd hdd, all my hdd are western digital 2x 250g and a 320g when the computer was first put together both 250s were in perfect working order, including smart. after installing a wd 320g ide (all are ide) on startup the next day i got an error message telling me that there was an error and the system was going to reboot in 1 min. i have win 7 ult. my mother board is an ASUSTek Computer INC. NODUSM3 1.05. pheonix award bios . it is not detected by the bios or the storage manager prog in win. what can i do?

The model number of your Asus motherboard is not correct. Post the correct model.

Are you using any IDE/SATA adapters to connect the third hard drive?

If you have TWO IDE controller ports are you using a CD drive on one of the cables too?

jumpers are all set correctly as slave and to day they are all showing up i did smart testing and it passed, so is it the bios? and how do you know if the model no is incorrect, that is what a prog told me lol but i have yet to open it back up, ill post it then. and yes it is one of the cd roms as the other is sata it is showing up every time i boot and i can use it.

Because that string is not a Asus model number, nor anyone elses.

nvmd i found out that the ntldr boot sectors were both corrupted, and i lost all the data anyway... though i still want to up date the bios, its a phoenix-awardbios v6.00pg

Motherboard ID 08/02/2006-C51/MCP51-A8M2N-LA-00 thats the mobo ...
