is partition error here are screen shots sorry for bad grammar am in a hurry typed on my old phone please help or i might be fired thanks and have a great day. I think this a partition error and I don't want to pay for software. here is screenshot of diskmanagment https://ibb.co/cfaXO6.message edited by computernoobram256kb
You do not have to pay for software. A 1TB HDD is actually 931GB. Since you have an OEM computer (laptop), there are probably several partitions, one or more might be hidden from view. The 1st thing you should do is have a look at Disk Management to see what it shows. Report back what you find.
I know 1TB is 1024 GB but manufacturers think 1TB = 1000GB do you want me to send screen shots of disk managment? if so here they are https://ibb.co/cfaXO6 message edited by computernoobram256kb
You have a 250GB HDD, not 1TB.
I did find one review when Googling the model number and it referred to a 1TB HD.
Did you upgrade to Windows 10 or did you take it to someone to do it for you? If you took it somewhere then they might have switched it on you.
In Disk Manager if showed a big chunk of the drive as unallocated or raw, then it would have been a partitioning problem but it shows the complete drive size and all partitions fully formatted. I do not know how but it appears you have a 250GB drive in there now. If you open the hard drive access cover you should be able to read the drive info off the label to confirm this. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
Sorry guys the computer is actually Toshiba S875D-00E (PSKBUC-00E008)
I sent the screen shot.
