Specs: Win7, 8GB
My 4870 1GB is doing ok with BF3 on ultra settings,about 30fps.
rF2 is about to go public beta and I fancy a graphics update.
was set on a 6950 as I was going to flash to a 6970.
Only reading up about it it now seems new cards won't unlock.

I can get a reference 6950 but there's no guarantee it will unlock.
At an extra £50 I can get a 6970.

Are new 6950's definitely unlockable even if they are dual bios?
Are non reference dual bios 6950's unlockable?

Oh the dilemma.

The way to go might be the Sapphire toxic 6950 which has a bios switch that if you switch it activates the resting shaders to make it a 6970 .the clock speed is identical to the 6970 already and it has the vapour chamber cooling .
still cheaper than the 6970 .
