Specs: Windows 7
i have two external monitors in my garage that i use to read instructionals while doing vehical repairs so i purchased a "iogear gvs62" so i could display on both at the same time from my laptop in the office but when i connect both monitors say "no input detected" ive connected both monitors directly to laptop (one at a time ) and they both work . ive also tested all cables seperatly and they all work this is supposed to be a plug and play device but i cant seem to get it to work. also when the splitter is plugged in to ac power the LED light glows a dim yellow. is this normal or shoild it be green?

Amber is normal colour mate. It has an amber lens if you look closely, which means it can't display in any other colour. If it could it would have a neutral (clear) lens.

However, it's only a power light so it's still possible that the splitter is faulty internally.

Why didn't you just get this type of splitter? >> http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/imag...
