What kind of monitor is it? CRT or LCD/TFT

Is the blue veil there at bootup or does it appear once Windows starts?

Have you disconnected it and re-connected it to see if it may have been a loose connection?

If you disconnect it from the PC and turn it on does the small popup screen have the blue tinge?

It's a HP mx705 monitor. The blue veil with the horizontal lines running through is there when I boot it up. (Basically whatever I do the problem is there.) I did unplug everything and reattach the plugs. It didn't work. I just now put in in safe mode and debugged it and reconfigured it. That helped bring back some of the color. I also adjusted the screen using the menu. I have to keep the brightness at 100% to get a white background and bring some color through the screen. It hurts my eyes. Help!!

Ditch it and get an LCD. Honestly, they aren't worth repairing.

Thanks for the advice. I was afraid I couldn't fix the problem myself. I'm going to take your advice and get a LCD.
