Hard Disk Problem?

Specs: none--, 2.5 gb ddr2
I use xp last time.
Then i change to vista, and then change to
win7.
But, suddenly, my OS corrupt and my data all
missing, need to format HD.

I install XP and i choose normal NTFS
formatting, not quick tat type, it take half hour
to run 1 %, then has many problem. Such like
stuck at somewhere, it is random everytime.

Example, it write windows is restarting, but i
wait for 1 hour, also same thing, Sometimes
stuck at other place.

What is my problem?
It is hard disk>?

Search the manufacturers website for an Harddisk Diagnostic Tool and test your harddisk with this tool.

Get the diags for that drive from the manufacturer. For generic use ultimate boot cd.

Did u enable s.m.a.r.t?Also u can try to format the hdd using low level formating tools.

I enable S.M.A.R.T already,
I using western digital hard disk,
I download the software diag and burn to disc,
And I boot the disc cant work, Just write operating system fail to
load, got other way to solve my pc problem?

Did you download the bootable ISO image of the diagnostic program and burn that? If the diag tool will not boot it cannot run the test. Do you have a floppy drive? There will be a bootfloppy version of the diagnostic prog.

ultimate boot cd or get the iso image for the OEM disk.

An ISO is a copy of a cd or dvd.
