SMART failur predicted on hard disk 0 SAMSUNG HM 640 11(S1)
WARNING : Immediately back up your data and replace your hard disk drive a failure may be imminent.
Generally you can't "fix" such errors as they are intrinsic to the drive itself. You might be able to disable SMART reporting from the drive by either changing your computer's BIOS Settings, or from the drive itself using a drive utility such as Seatools, ftools, etc. I don't know what effect that would have on the might simply refuse to install because SMART isn't enabled

Well, the SMART failure feature if there for a reason. turning it off isnt the SMARTesthing to do, you see what i done there? :) NICE

it is my opinion that if you recieve such an error, backup your stuff and buy a new drive. the cost of drives is so cheap nowadays that it is probably worth just swapping the drive out for a new one, rather than turn off the warning and wait for the drive to completely fail.

Don't use the drive until all of your data is safe, there is no way to know if the drive will fail now or later.

You know the real meaning of peace only if you have been through the war.
