H disk stopd wrkg i see two disks, size chang

Specs: Windows XP-FAT32
Hi I have a 2.5" Hard disk which I disconnected from a machine in DRDOS6. This is a 300mb disk with four partitions used to run a machine tool.
I connected it to an XP machine via USB (have done this before) to move my files.
I cannot see the disk in My Computer but I can see the disk in Device Manager.
The queer thing is that I am seeing TWO identical disk 2TB size.
Cannot initialise disk. I only managed to see my disk (TWO DISKS!) in GET DATA BACK FOR FAT and have seen my files in the disk but the application ran for a whole day without any progress which remained at 0%. Can somebody help? The files I have in there are what matter as they represent days of work :-(

You may just be seeing the enclosure in Device Manager. Look in Disk Management for disk. If it shows there, highlight it and post everything listed there for that drive.

First I get a popup (in windows 7) to initialize disk (or both disks showing up) but when I try I get a message- incorrest function (pops two tmes for two disks)
for these two disks there is an box showing each disk (like the case of C drive and cd rom drive) there is a red arrow pointing downwards on each box with UNKNOWN and NOT INITIALIZED. I cant initialize either.
Thanks for your help,
Tonio
