Next time, look at that screen more carefully. There may be a box to check so the option will not appear anymore.

Thanks OtheHill.Within the message box there is an X which closes the message box
but as soon as you reopen the browser the message is back.

I don't use IE9, or for that matter I rarely use any version of IE so I can't really help there. That said, it sounds like your issue might be a setting in IE9. Did you download Chrome and not install it in the past?

I allowed cookies and installed chrome thinking IE would pick this up.I then uninstalled it as I don't like it,reverted to IE9 and the message is back.I'm not alone
with this as there are reams of blogs about this and nobody has a solution.Any of the workarounds do not work except to change browser.

If you have the option in IE9 to select the order of browser use, remove any browsers that you don't use from the list and verify the one you want to use is marked as the default browser.

I have had trouble with ASK myself. Pain to remove but possible.

Thanks for help.Tried your suggestion but I'm back to square one. Saw a message posted by a Google employee who said this was temporary, however that was posted about a year ago.Guess I'm stuck with it.Cheers!

Have you tried uninstalling IE9 and reverting back to IE8? My brief experience with IE9 is that it is still kinda buggy; others have confirmed that. After I removed it & reinstalled IE8, I have had no further problems.

I think I might just do that. There are other buggy bits as you say in IE9.I know there are other browsers available but I was reared with IE so that's why I've stayed with it.
Thanks for your input.
