Specs: Windows XP, pentium 4
hi i am getting a long beep i have checked the processor also it is working fine. but when i press the start button i am getting long beeps please help

How would you know that unless you removed it & tried it in another system?

You didn't list your board or the BIOS type? A repeating beep usually means a memory problem. Go to the following site, right hand side under BIOS Beep Codes, find your BIOS type (AMI, Award, Phoenix, etc) & lookup the code:

Possibly bad memory. Look at beep codes:

Run Memtest86 to verify memory. If errors repeat with one stick of memory at a time. No errors are acceptable. Replace.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
