Getting BIOS beepings after replaced 4GB RAM module with 8GB

March 23, 2016 at 18:16:42
Specs: Windows 10, 4GBs
I just removed old memory module (4 GBs) with a new one (8GBs)......and when I turn on the pc, the screen is saying NO SIGNAL and I'm getting a steady beeping from the The tower. The tower otherwise sounds normal - the fan is on, and nothing else unusual is heard, except for the beeping.

Are you certain it (the new RAM) is compatible with your system or the system supports 8GB modules? Sounds like (no pun intended) it doesn't see any of the RAM. If re-seating doesn't help, re-insert the old module(s) and make sure the system still sees those before proceeding further. If so, and you're sure you've gotten the new ones inserted correctly, then there's likely a compatibility issue somewhere. Also, what's the make/model of the machine in question???
