Specs: Windows XP
i just formatted my pc with xp3 evrything went fine, except that is asking me for a password i did not put any password there is no * after password i leave it blank but it does not let me acces anything, please help!!!

"Formatted" means you completely erased the drive & setup the file system (FAT32 or NTFS) in preparartion for the installation of the OS.

If you sucessfully installed XP & are being asked for a password to login to Windows, you must have inadverently entered one during the install process. Your best bet is to reformat & reinstall XP...this time, pay attention!

Thank you for replying.... i did not enter any password and i already tried to reformat again but it does not read the cd, now what should i do????

Did you click on the link I supplied? Those are the steps that you MUST go thru to install XP. The 1st screen is very important. When you see, "Press any key to boot from CD.....", you MUST press a key, if you do not, the system will not read the disc.
