February 3, 2012 at 11:39:05
Specs: 7/ xp/ fedora, corei5/2 G
I have a flash memory. Today i found out when i connect it to port, nothing is detected.
I checked disk management, still nothing detected there.
I tried Fedora14 , winxp and win7 all the same.
I tried to use HDD low level format firmware, but my flash is not shown in the list to select it and continue.
I tried turning off computer and unplugging it too.

When I connect my flash to TV, i can see the folder and files.

Something odd but OK. I think the thing may have a bad connection, or a bad chip.

I still don't get why the thing works on tv and linux can't read it at all but we were not there to see the tests.

Why does OtheHill keep getting a minus? It wasn't me but I'm going to add a plus back to them.

Then computer is bad I'd think or TV has a cache issue.

The file format in use is not recognized by any of the operating systems mentioned.

This is by design due to Digital Rights Management. You can't copy files from your DVR and play them on your PC.

But he said nothing shows in Disk Management so that makes me think it can't even mount the drive as unknown. It should show even an unreadable format.

I can usually format a usb in linux and it would show in W7 but show as unknown file system.

Should have shown lsusb if anything.

It WORKED
IT SUCCEDED
