Flash Drive issues.

Specs: Windows 7
Okay, so before we had to get a new computer I had put my word processor files onto my flashdrive so they'd be safe, but whenever I try to access the files on any other computer they won't open (it usually pops up as an error). They're all shortcuts except for one WPS file which I can open. How do I view my shortcuts?

So what was this error you get or are we supposed to guess?

It appear that all you copied where short-cuts to the original files. The short-cuts are pointing to the location of the original files. You need to go back and copy the files and not just create short-cuts which are usually just a single line of text. But that is only a guess without knowing what the error message was.
