Yes, it is a Firewire PCI card sold on amazon by startech (low profile). the card has a short section, a break, a long section, a break, and then another short section... i've looked at lots of different brands online and they all look the same..

i've just just purchased a Gateway sx2801 (it is low profile / slim) and the area behind the expansion space has room for one card and the slot has a short hole and then one long hole... it doesn't line up at all...

I've looked inside my other old computer and the expansion slot is the same on that one also... is this a standard slot for most computers and why doesn't it match at all? I thought it would be easy to install, lots of people say it is..
