fax machines that receive faxes on pc

Specs: Windows XP
I've been searching for the last couple of days for an all-in-one printer that would allow faxes to be sent to the PC in PDF or image file. Using the Windows XP fax function isn't an option as my boss wants the all-in-one (need to replace a printer and copier anyway).
I was looking at quite a few printers but none are particularly specific about the fax functionalities.

I would appreciate any help you could give, and if you have an all-in-one printer with the fax functionalties specified above, could you advise me the model and make please
I can not eliminate the fax hardware but need the faxes to be recieved on the PC.

Have you thought of a fax to email service? is only
10/month for 200 pages and it's delivered to your inbox in PDF or
other format of your choice. You can also have it delivered to a
total of 5 email address. It also has plugins to fax from your PC
or Outlook

We have used it with much success at our company.

we want to use the printer as our backup printer for invoicing and also use it as a copier/scanner. I did find 2 HP all in ones that will connect to the PC and allow for all the faxes to go to the PC. HP Officejet 6500 and 8500. We receive too many faxes to use efax and send out too many to have to scan in and then fax. I think this will allow us to do what we need. Thanks for you replies.

You need a software suite that uses your all in one to accomplish those tasks.

Look into Paperport 12. I use an earlier version and when scanning you choose the type of file you want to create. Most of the time it will be pdf, but jpg is also available.

Onec the image is scanned you can use it in a multitude of ways. Print, fax, sent to MS office. etc. Really a great suite. I don't work for them either.
