Solved External hard disk problem

Specs: Windows XP
My external HDD won't open at all . with the power on, the green light is blinking but it won't even show on my pc when I attached it. Everything stops. I cannot click on anything at all when this HD is connected .... What shall I do ? IS there a way where i go " Bypass " it and go into it to format ? ty

Did you try plugging it in and turning it on before you boot up? Once you're booted up, if windows is working, go into Disk Management and see if it's listed.

I had tried that and once it is connected, I just cannot get into the Disk Management at all. Nothing seems to be working nor can be clicked, but.... the moment i unplugged it, the disk management will be seen.

Your only option may be to remove the drive from the enclosure and connect it internally to a computer. This will eliminate the possibility the enclosure is the problem.

From your description I don't hold out much hope though.
