Specs: Windows 7
I have a evga geforce gt 610 driving a monitor that has 2550 by 1440 resolution using the DVI connector. But the maximum resolution the control panel gives maximum resolution of 1920 by 1080. How can I get higher resolution out of the DVI connector?

You need to use a dual-link DVI cable, assuming that your monitor supports it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I solved my problem by using the NVIDIA control panel that recognizes the higher resolution monitor. I was using the "Screen Resolution" entry in the popup screen menu (activated by pushing the right mouse button when the mouse pointer is on the main desktop). Once I used the NVIDIA Control Panel, I was able to set the resolution to 2560 by 1440 for my high resolution monitor. All works well now.
