everything seems to work but no display!

December 27, 2010 at 13:11:48
Specs: Windows vista, Intel E6700/4Gb
I was playing them... puff! I re-started and no display. Windows starts, after the inicial sounds i type the password and I hear windows starting sound. Screen works fine, just tested in my laptop. I tried with another wroking graphics card, but no display!
What can be wrong? Motherboard? But if so, windows would never start!

If there was a problem with the graphics, the system should emit a beep code. What is the monitor connected to, a card? or does your system have onboard video?

It's connected to a card, and I have tried with other card and nothing changed. The bips sound like the normal ones i had before. Like I said in my first post i can hear the windows starting sound.

May have overloaded the PCIe power circuit. Powersupply or motherboard might have been damaged ( or both )
Please provide detailed specs.
