Specs: Linux i686
RIGHT folks bench test OK!------get an old 3386 /486 processor wrap it up in some old tea towel then bash it with a hammer,,-------------open the tea towel a take a good look at the insides of the proc-----this is one for the kids!!!!!

Pretty neat, huh? I've got a wafer with the embedded chips. Kinda artsy to look at. And to think, all that new technology developed from the UFO that fortuitously crashed in Roswell in1947. . .

Best I had was a section of ferrite core memory from an old mainframe. Not exactly a microchip, but a work of art nevertheless. Of course, some of the early chips had a transparent window so you didn't need to take a hammer to them. I guess to get the full effect nowadays you would need X-ray vision to see all the various layers.
