|I'm using a Compaq Presario 4112 model. Windows 95. I had it in storage a long time (7 years) and recently tired to revive it for home use and so the kids could play games. When the system comes on, I see the Compaq logo then it goes to a blank screen with the wording "error loading operating system". I inserted the Compaq QuickRestore disc and 3 1/2; the system went through the reinstalling mode but when it got to restoring the original software it just sat there, no bars were indicated or showed it was downloading. |
Does this mean my hard drive is bad?
The system also informed the following:
1. CDR101: Not reading drive E
2. Non-System disk or disk error
3. Unable to access drive C
4. Bad or missing command interpreter
5. Error loading Diags Partition
Can anyone help? I would be greatly appreciated.
