Epson doesn't have a driver that will work with my OS. The newest driver they show is for 98 so I'm going to abandon this project for now. Thanks for all your help

Those printers are still in use with POS and multi-sheet printouts. There may be a current driver that emulates your printer. See the link below for examples. https://support.na.sage.com/selfser...
