Epson impact printer AP-4000

November 28, 2020 at 16:15:32
Specs: Windows 7, Pentium 4 2GHz / 4 gigs.
Believe it or not, I'd like to get this printer to run with windows 7 prox64. This printer isn't listed in win7. I know it's on my windows XP setup disc, but where ?.Maybe that's not possible. Another problem: I've been trying to use a USB to serial port adapter.
Why do I want to mess with this printer ? I can re ink the ribbon and it's fine for text and line drawings if you over ink it. I can use my wife's ecotank printer for the fancy stuff. :-)) Thanks

Direct your printer to i386.

Epson doesn't have a driver that will work with my OS. The newest driver they show is for 98 so I'm going to abandon this project for now. Thanks for all your help

Those printers are still in use with POS and multi-sheet printouts. There may be a current driver that emulates your printer. See the link below for examples.
