Eject and won't restart?

Windows XP
April 14, 2009 at 20:35:32
Specs: N/A
So earlier today I was trying to get a CD out of the
hardrive because it wouldn't eject
I restarted the computer to get the CD back, which I did,
but then it went into an error mode
It went to a blue screen that said something like safe
mode 1/3 and it loaded something
After that, it was rebooting itself over and over, and now
my windows XP won't start up
I've tried running it on safe mode, starting normally and
configuring to the last effective operation
Help?!?!?!

FYI, that's the CD Drive. Your hard drive is something else. :)

If I were you, I'd start troubleshooting with unplugging the CD Drive. Remove the side panel of your computer, and with the PC unplugged, locate the back of your CD drive. On the back towards the right of the drive is a power cable. Unplug it. Then reconnect the power and boot back up. If that doesn't work, we'll try something else.

When that happens, the problem usually happens again later.

It probably wouldn't eject because whatever command you had given was still in the process of completion. When you finally got it to eject you were left with an incomplete install or other operation.
