Richard59,
Yes I did look very hard, actually. And what I found were redirect sites and subscription sites for an ancient out of date script that would not fill a floppy. Maybe you have mad money to spend 50.00 bucks for this driver to run a scanner I can pick up for three bucks but I don't.
Am I wrong in my assumption this forum is for people to support each other with their experience, and to make obscure and confusing problems solvable?
I think someone has a driver collection out there that has this no longer supported scanner's driver in it.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has found such a collection or has a driver sitting on their shelf.

And thanks for the direct to those sites Richard. Tried them before I came to you and our colleagues for help.
Jim

Most of these 'solutions' download instead a utility called "Driver Detective", which for a 'small fee' will solve all your problems while running the directories of your hard-drives looking for hardware that needs up dating. This is a re-direct and not what the page said it what about to do. I've dealt with too many 'smithfraud' ad-wares to support that activity against my drives. This should send up a red flag for other solution seekers as well.
Twice burnt, triple cautious,
Jim

My apologies for the abruptness of my earlier response. I have used driverguide in the past without having to either subscribe or pay for files. I agree it does not make sense to pay a subscription ( However much it might be) to obtain a file that may not even turn out to be what you need. I suspect that any driver you are able to find will only be for Win95 anyway. If you picked up the scanner for $3 then it's no great loss if you cannot get a driver to run it

I snatched the drivers off drivers guide(you just have to sign up and dodge all of the ads).

I also fixed the directory structure so they would install....

They installed on xp but I doubt they will work......

Heads up: No uninstaller.
