Specs: Windows 7
I have asus laptop G551VW-FY212T and windows 10 has a lot of issues, I can't reset windows 10 os it gives me error so I just want to downgrade to windows 7. How do I downgrade to windows 7? Should I do it though bios or in windows 10? Now I heard of this Chinese program called driver genius which is suppose to download drivers for computer that does not support windows 7. Problem is though it is in Chinese so what other way can I download windows 7 drivers for this laptop? I have a windows 7 disc to put in my laptop but the track pad and keyboard are unresponsive during windows 7 setup. External mouse keyboard do not work either :(

My system specs Case: Enermax Ostrog GT ATX Mid Tower ECA3280A-BR CPU: i7 4790K Motherboard: Asus Z97 Deluxe Ram: Crucial CRBLS16K1280 16GB Hard Drives: WD10EZEX 00BN5A0 1 TB HDD and PNY CS1311 256 GB

NEVER use "driver finder" programs. A large number of them are malware in disguise. ASUS does not have Win7 drivers available for your laptop. In fact, there are no Win7 drivers available for the HM170 chipset your motherboard is based on, so that would explain why the keyboard & mouse aren't recognized. Stick with Win10. My guess is your system is infected. Start with these:

You will likely have problems if you install Windows 7 on that laptop model because Asus have not released any Windows 7 drivers for it.

Only Windows 10 64-bit & Windows 8.1 64-bit are supported:

https://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-O...

With no Windows 7 drivers being available you'll find that some components (eg audio device, graphics device, network controller) will either not work properly or not work at all.

You could of course scour the web to find Windows 7 drivers which work on your laptop but that could take weeks or prove to be fruitless.

Hi, Seems to me MS have conned the World by issuing W10 as a free download.

With this there are serious issues affecting many that are not corrected, and users are stuck with it. On occasion, W10 ceases loading and such that the pc or laptop cannot be used.

About the only option is to **purchase** the latest W10, and then amazingly virtually all the issues disappear.

Good Luck - Keep us posted.
