I'm thinking of getting a GeForce 9800GT but I need to know if I have enough power. I have a 450-460W PSU with this system:
Mainboard: Biostar Nf520-a2 se
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 5000+ 2.599 GHz
RAM: 2x2GB DDR2 RAM 400MHz (only 3GB in use)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT
Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio (onboard)

450w? What about +12v rail? Open pc case and check psu label for amps +3.3v,+5v,+12v. 9800gt require 400w and 26A on +12v rail. U need 64bit os to take advantage of the 4gb ram.

The 9800 GT requires 25 to 30 amps on the 12 volt rail. You have a combined total of 30 on 2 rails. It should work, but it's a gamble. Worse case scenario is you get the card install it and if you max it out, you have problems, you'll need a new psu. It's your call.
