ok i have a usb flash drive that I am using to image PCs. I have imaged 2 diffrent hp laptops 2 dell laptops and 2 dell desktops with no problem.

For some reason, the HP desktops will not image. and I think i've narrowed it down to the fact that :

The Laptops/Desktops I can sucssefully image show up as disk 0 in diskpart before imaging.

The HP Desktops show up as disk 1 for some reason. I'm thinking if I can somehow change the disk id back to 0 on the HPs, the issue would be resolved. Has anyone ever seen this or know of a fix?

Yes... All the PCs/laptops/tablets that we have tested use sata drives. The nonworking HP desktops uses sata as well.
