Hello, I am wondering how long it is before a Mac Plus monitor naterally discharges. I am not wondering how to discharge it. (I am not that brave.)

Thanks

I am not sure what you question is. Are you concerned about the monitor's capacitors discharging when you open the monitor to work on it?

Yes, how long does take for the capacitors to discharge. As I said, I am a chicken when it comes to working with 9000 volts.

Most devices these days have bleed off resistors bridged across the caps. Still it would be a good idea to take readings with a voltmeter just to be sure. I doubt your going to find a cap in there though with 9000 volts on it.

I have done research, there are no bled off resistors on this old of a mac.
