Desktop keyboard is not working

Specs: Windows XP
every thing is alright but keyboard is not working as well as not listed in device manager
this is the problem in desktop computer

usb or ps/2? Borrow a keyboard and try it, if it works throw the old one out and get a new one. Make sure it is plugged in all the way, not showing in device manager means it does not recognize it as plugged in at all, either not plugged in or dead....not repairing em. $10

Also a bad PSU can cause both PS/2 and USB ports not work.

if it's a wireless keyboard...trash it and get a USB will work much better
