Hi there and great appreciation to anyone that may even ust have some ideas that i can possibly check.
First let me just say I'm not a moron nor am I a computer wiz by any means. I know a lil more than basics and have built my own comp in the past. (not the one I have the prob with)
Now last night I went to turn on my dell and all I got was a black screen. after about 30 sec -1 min it just shut itself off. Now when i inetionally turn it on I have the power light battery light and the caps lock light on solid. The num lock and scroll lock flash repeatably. The cd rom will not open (however I've already taken my comp apart and disconecceted the cd rom. but from here I have no idea what to check now. PLEASE any suggestions will help tremendously from keeping my new laptop out of the ocean :-) lol

First try this. Remove ac power and battery. Then press power button a few times or more.

Then replace only AC and test. What happens?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
