Dell P1500 Printer Not Working

Specs: Windows XP
Recently, I reformatted my Dell 4550 Desktop. Everything is working properly except for the Dell P1500 Printer. I tried to install the drivers from the original install disc and failed. Then I tried to install the drivers from the Dell website. I was able to get the drivers but the printer hasn't worked. There is a big yellow questionmark in device manager that says Delldell P1500 Laser printer. I right clicked this and said update drivers but the wizard can't find them.

I switched computers to another Dell desktop, a 4600 I believe, and the Printer installed fine. For some reason I cannot get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to install it's software properly.
It is a VERY good idea to disable the resident module(s) of anti-malware software from loading BEFORE you install the software.
You may need to plug it into a different USB port, or if the computer is a desktop, rarely, you may have an IRQ sharing problem you need to fix.
