✔ Best Answer
Try removing the memory and putting it back in again; it may just be a dirty contact. If that doesn't work, try one stick in one slot; try all sticks to see if you can determine what is faulty. You should also try both slots to ensure that the fault is with the RAM rather than the slot. If you determine that the fault is indeed a bad RAM stick just buy another one from Crucial or Kingston.

Why do you think it's RAM?

When the Dell boots op do you see "anything" on the screen - albeit briefly? I'm thinking of the Dell splash screen and also the very few words that tell you how to aces setup/bios settings..?

"Why do you think it's RAM?"

Those symptoms usually indicate a RAM fault on Dell laptops.
