Will Samsung 850 EVO 1TB mSATA SSD work on Dell Latitude E7250? On Dell's website, they say 512GB is the maximum SSD Storage but I was just curious if the Samsung 1TB will work or not, or if the 512GB max SSD storage is just the maximum configuration offered by Dell.

Core i5 4570 | 12GB RAM | MSI B85M-E45 | SanDisk 120GB SSD Plus | 1.5TB HDD | DVD-RW | MSI Radeon HD 7870 2GB | USB Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 | MS Windows 10 Pro x64 |

✔ Best Answer
That would be just the highest offered as part of the system BUT being a mSata in a small machine it cannot be longer than the original mSATA SSD (see owners manual on their website and look at removing/installing the SSD drive, it shows no spare room around it.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Thanks for your reply, but I just wanted to know if the above mentioned SSD is compatible or not because I heard some manufacturers (e.g. Lenovo) in some regions lock their BIOS to not support above 512GB mSATA SSDs.

Core i5 4570 | 12GB RAM | MSI B85M-E45 | SanDisk 120GB SSD Plus | 1.5TB HDD | DVD-RW | MSI Radeon HD 7870 OC 2GB | EVGA 100-W1-0500 500W 80+ Bronze PSU | USB Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 | MS Windows 10 Pro x64 |
