Dell Inspiron 5570 - Vram

Specs: Windows 10, i5 / 8gb
Hi, I just bought a brand new laptop worth over £550. Shocked to see that it only has only 128mb vram. I know there are ways of raising this through making a new key in registry, I've tried that but no change. Also looked at the bios, again found no settings to use RAM as Vram. Any help would be appreciated.

Why surprised? The 5570 is not a gamer & doesn't have a dedicated graphics card with dedicated memory. It uses the Intel UHD Graphics 620 integrated in the i5 CPU & graphics memory is taken/shared with the system. There may be a setting in the BIOS to increase the shared amount; if not, you're out of luck.

That computer is not designed for game playing, so 128MB of graphics memory should be enough. If you need more then you really need a computer with a dedicated graphics chip with its own memory.

Dell inspiron 5570 comes with i7 8550u processor, 8GB of RAM, 2TB of HDD, 530 Radeon 4GB

in other words, you are using the igpu, be sure to select the Radeon 530 4GB for "games"

average gaming performance you should expect @720p low in new games:

omg, they also sell Dell inspiron 5570's without a dedicated GPU.......

The Inspiron 5570 is a range of computers. It's possible that the OP doesn't have the top-of-the-range model - with discrete graphics - that you list.
