But Dell employees went out of their way to conceal these problems. In one e-mail exchange between Dell customer support employees concerning computers at the Simpson Thacher & Bartlett law firm, a Dell worker states, “We need to avoid all language indicating the boards were bad or had ‘issues’ per our discussion this morning.”

This is old news. The funny thing is they match their Power Supplies to their MoBos so shortly after changing the MoBo you will find that the power supply fails. This is one of the reasons we run an all HP shop here but HP has problems with buying substandard HDD. I have had to replace like 10 drives on my Proliant Servers over the last three years. Way to go HP. I think that you are going to find stories like this for every company.
