Solved Dell BIOS showing Less CPU Clock Speed

Specs: Windows 10 Pro x64, 2.793 GHz / 4096 MB
Alright, recently had Troubles with my Custom built system so I transfered everything to an Old Dell PC I had. Put in my processor, RAM, HDDs, and Graphic Card.

Now the issue is tha everything is working but the CPU clock speed being shown in the BIOS is 1.60 GHz instead of actual clockspeed of 2.8Ghz

The System is a Dell Optiplex 755 with the following installed

Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8GHz
2x2GB (4GB) running in Dual Channel.
RAM and CPU bus speeds are automatically set to 1:1.

I know about the whole Speedstep technology lowering speeds but shouldn't it show the correct speed in the BIO processor info rather than the lowered one.

Also should mention that there is no option of Intel Speedstep in the BIOS. I checked. The system though itself came with a Core 2 Duo E7200 chip so safe to say that its compatible with E7400.

So whats the reason behind the low clock speed in BIOS? The speedtest working or something else?

Seems like the multiplier is dropping from 10.5x to 6.0x, probably due to SpeedStep. Did you check it with CPUZ?

Checked it with CPU Z as well. Multiplier 6.0x

Solved issue later. Updated the BIOS just to make sure I took every step I could and the issue was fixed. Multiplier on proper value. Speed is being shown at 2.79Ghz.

Thank you for taking the time to help me. Appreciate your help.
