delay in my printer switching on

March 5, 2012 at 06:05:32
Specs: Windows Vista
I have one power cable to power outlet and then run a gang plug (4 ) to my computer, monitor , light, and printer. When I switch on the power it takes 15-30 mins for the printer to react. How can I speed this up.

If you turn the printer off & on from the printer switch, does it take the same time?

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

Try switching on the printer after the computer is booted. The printer may be getting an error signal from the computer if they are started at the same time.

Hi there I will try that and switch on the printer with its on /off switch when the computer is booted up. I switched off the printer and then back on again and it came on instantly. Once the printer has come on it stays on (even if I switch the computer off ) until I switch off all power at the mains socket.
