Custom Built Computer Won't turn On

December 21, 2010 at 01:38:33
Specs: N/A, I
This is the first time I tried to build a pc. When I finished installing my
-Asus P755-MLX
-Intel Cre i5 Quad Core
-Hitachi Desktar 1TB Hard Drive
-Cooler Masters 500W Power Supply
-Memorex Optical Drive
-Patriot 4 Gb Desktop Memory
-Also since my Mother Board uses 24 pin i used a converter to convert my 20 pin power supply cord to 24 pin.

When I pluged it into the wall I switch the power supply on, and when I pushed the power button nothing happend in my Led light it was green.

Chech all your chasis cables / cords , the front channel of your chasis actually needs to be connected .

They usually look like the fan cord , but somehow taller and thinner , and they connect to the MB .

Yeah like Mr-davidson said check that the power, restart, power led etc are all in the correct places.
If this still does not work then try unplugging the optical drive and see if it boots.
I would have used a 600W PSU just to be safe.

Replace the power supply. And be sure to benchtest your hardware before you install it in the case.
