CPU Speed bottleneck?

Specs: Windows XPx64
Hi

After a clean install of Windows XP x64 I noticed my rig didnt seem as fast as it could be.
NB. I also use XP 32 bit on this machine.

Hope this is the right info for someone to help me out? I don't mind buying new hardware, but most of all I want to understand the speed bottleneck(s)... thank you!!!!!

Your hardware list is incomplete. I think that may be because Everest is obsolete.

Try using SIW to generate basic hardware list. Motherboard, processor, RAM, Graphics, hard drive. Get SIW at the link below.

Well, I am not an Intel man but I did notice a couple of things.

First of all, the RAM should be installed in Slots 1 & 3 in order to run in dual channel. I don't know if you should have faster RAM but I think so. Your CPU runs at 1066 and RAM at 800.

Beyond that I would question if you have installed the motherboard chip set drivers.

Why do you think your not getting enough out of the system? Link to your motherboard info below.

U should underclock ram to 533 DDR(ratio 1:1). U have perfect board for overclocking, c2d e6300 can reach 2.8ghz very easily with that board. I heard win xp 64bit is a crap plus u need service pack 3 but i recommend running win 7.

How should I underclock the ram?

Or restore all the over-clocking settings to factory default, because I am getting BSODs when I play some games and I want it fixed more urgently than I want more processing power.
