CPU fan speed fast and chews battery.

Specs: Windows 7, i5/3GB
My Laptop fan revs up and it chews my battery and I wonder what is wrong, its an HP4520s with i5. I am beggining to hate HP products. I have no problem with DELL

When CPU works harder also the fan spin faster to prevent overheating. Check if speedstep is enabled in BIOS.

Clean dust out with compressed air can. Monitor your internal temperatures with SpeedFan to make sure you do not have other problems (before and after blowing out dust as well as at start up and after running a few programs).
Use laptop on hard surface to prevent vents from being blocked.
Post back results.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
