Specs: Windows 7, 4G
I am looking at new laptops. One has a Duo 2 processor and another for a little more has the i3. I use my laptop for business only, no gaming. Is the i3 going ot give me anything for the extra money?

The Core i3 is newer technology so it's probably the better choice, but you need to compare all the specs (RAM, video, HDD, etc), not just the CPUs. How often do you run on battery power? When it comes to the number of hours you can run on the battery, the difference between the i3 & C2D is significant.

When at the office Im almost always plugged in, but when traveling I run it on battery power until it runs out. Which uses more power when doing standard documents, internet browsing, etc?

You'll get approx 6 hrs out of a Core i3 based laptop as opposed to approx 3.5 hrs out of a Core 2 Duo based laptop.

That in itself makes it worth the price difference. Thank you.
