Can model LC1905C1 Sylvania HDTV be converted to a computer monitor, if so what do I need?
The serial number is TH2B1044157363.

Double check the model number. It's not showing up.

Most HDTV's will work as a monitor. What connections do you have on your computer now? What connections are available on the monitor?

Usually you can hook it up either via HDMI or via an SVGA (standard PC monitor) cable.

All you need is a cable that is compatible with the video card outputs and the TV inputs.

IN order of preference that could be:

HDMI
DVI
VGA
S-Video
Composite Video

You can get an adaptor cable. For instance if your computer has DVI out and you TV has HDMI in then it is possible to get a DVI to HDMI convertrI. Being a HDTV it will almost certainly have a HDMI input. Not all computers have an HDMI output although some do.

In all cases except HDMI to HDMI you will need an audio cable from you sound card to the TV audio in.

However be aware that depending on the resolutions available from your video card and the capabilities of the TV you may be disappointed with the quality.

Not actually true anymore. Most (all?) modern Nvidia cards will detect a DVI -> HDMI adapter, and pump sound out of the DVI port.

As DanJ stated, the model number appears to be incorrect. I had a look at the Funai website (maker of Sylvania products) & found these 19" HDTV models: LC190SL1, LC190SS1, LC195SL8, LC195SL8A, LC195SL9C, LC195SLX, LC195SSX. I'm guessing yours is one of the 1st two? It has a standard VGA port & 2 HDMI so which port to use will depend on which ports your video card has.
