Specs: Windows 7, 1.00 GB
can someone help me? i had the exact same problem like this and i cant understand this conversation ( ) about how to fix this thing.

is there any easier way like sending the netbook to a computer center for repair? i have done the ccleanup millions of times to make space and i cannot download any other software for cleanup or disk checkup due to insufficient memory on c drives.

should i format the c drives? now i only depend on my d drive. this problem has really driving me crazy!!

We cannot use the details from the other poster to evaluate how similar that one is to yours or what your problem actually is unless you give us details about your system. Include Make, Model, Hard drive type and size, reported free space, what your D drive is (partition/internal /external/flash drive/etc), what programs you have, what antivirus program you have, your system restore settings, your paging file settings, and everything you have already tried. Report all numbers/settings you can find including disk sizes listed in Disk Manager and size/free space reported in Computer/My Computer.
If you have a tiny drive like the other poster, have you uninstalled everything you can? Have you reduced the % space system restore can use from 12% to 8% or so? Have you fixed the paging file to the amount of RAM you have? Have you run Disk Clean up? If you have at least 10% free, have you tried to defrag?

You do not Format C drive. That leaves you with nothing on the drive. Do you mean to reinstall your operating system from scratch on a clean drive? If so, this is probably a little bit drastic and premature. You would probably need to do it as a Factory Restore to get back to how they shipped it with nothing else in it.

Remember that a Netbook is really not a complete computer like a laptop is, it is a portable web browsing, email machine that can perform some things that a basic computer can. A little bit more than a smart phone (one of the older ones). If you try to load programs on it and save files, emails, photographs, music, you will very quickly run out of room. Keep the programs to the absolute minimum, store files on a flash drive and back them up at home on a real computer, run a good light antivirus program (Avast Free), or purchase a small laptop.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

You supplied absolutely no info about your netbook other than you're running Win7 with only 1GB RAM (you need more RAM). If you're running out of drive space, it's because you're installing way too much crap. What is the size of your HDD & how is it partitioned?

In addition to the two above replies, I will state that sending the netbook into repair would result in the loss of all you personal files.

If you want to save the personal files you may have on the netbook I suggest you buy a USB external hard drive and copy the files to it. Then after verifying the file exists on the external drive you can delete it from the netbook hard drive.

This will not work for installed programs. I suspect you may have a netbook with a small solid state hard drive. As stated above, we know nothing of your specs.

Post the full model of the netbook for more complete help.
