Did you set the TV to the correct input?

How do you know when a politician is lying? His mouth is moving.

I don't mean that. You have to use the menu on the remote to tell the TV which input you want it to read.

"You have to use the menu on the remote to tell the TV which input you want it to read"

You must set the TV to a video input source other than the TV tuner, by using either the remote or (a) button(s) on the TV to do that - e.g. HDMI, or Video 1, Video 2, etc. .
....

The HDMI output of the viideo adapter on the computer may not be enabled in Windows by default.

When the HDMI cable is connected to the TV and both the TV and computer are running...
RIGHT click on a blank part of the main desktop screen, select Personalize, then Display Settings. Hold your mouse cursor over each of the display icons. If one says "Not active" or similar, RIGHT click on that display icon and enable it.
OR - on laptops, there is often a key combo you can press to toggle the display - to the built in display, VGA,, sometimes DVI, or in your case, HDMI. See your User's or Owner's manual.
