You need the multi-user version to do that. Is that what you have? If not explain what you do have?

I have the quickbooks Pro 2011
It has multi-user on the side of the box. Does that mean it is a multi user version? If so, what can I do now?

Use the help files within Quickbooks. I never used the multi user version. I would guess there is some sort of sync option.

I assume you have both computer connected to a Local area network?

With multi user Quickbooks there should be no need to synchronize data files. The multi user version allows multiple users to access the same data files simultaneously over a network.

With the single user version only one user can access the data files at any one time.
