Connect old Sony Vaio desktop to new LCD TV?

Specs: Windows XP
I have an older Sony Vaio PC that I'd like to connect to my my new LCD tv. I've done quite a bit of research on this and can't figure out exactly how to go about doing so.

My PC model is PCV-W700G. Here's a link to the owner's manual:

The issue is that this computer was made to be used as a tv. It has S-video and AVI-in ports, but from what I can see there are absolutely zero video-out ports. I tried connecting the PC/TV with AVI cables but got a 'no signal' message on my tv.

Based on what I could find online my options are to:
a) buy a VGA adapter
b) Upgrade my PC's graphics card (currently SiS 650_651_740 I beleive)

I would prefer the latter since I could improve the graphics quality my PC puts out, but I'm not sure whether the graphics card on my computer is upgradeable? If so, could this PC support a graphics card that would come with an HDMI-out port?

Any advice / help is hugely appreciated.

Does your computer have a VGA output? Does your TV have a VGA input?

Edot - from the specs - the only output possible is PCCard, firewire, usb. You would need an adapter device. I think you can't change the video card,
