Specs: Windows XP
I have VAIO PCV-RX650 and 1T Cavalry ext HD. USB2.0 too slow for playing DVD's stored on HD. eSATA on HD. Firewire on VAIO. How do I connect?

You could install an adapter card like these.

Thanks for the heads up on searching for a piece of hardware. So far, I am copying the folder with the DVD content to my C drive and playing it from there.

If I am reading your material right, the USB2.0-eSATA adapter costs more than the 1T Cavalry ext HD. Not a workable answer! So I will copy from my ext HD to my C drive at slow speed and play from the C drive normally. Better than inability to usablly save DVD content.
