what usb cord do you use to connect a desktop and laptop to an external hardrive?

There is a way to make the usb drive into a networked drive with an add on device.

There may be a usb type of device out there that can share usb drives. Seems I saw one like it someplace.

Hang up and live.

You cannot connect the drive to two computers at the same time directly. If the drive is connected to one computer and they are both on the same network or workgroup and the drive is listed as a share drive on the first computer, then both computers can read and potentially write (depending on the share specified) to the same drive. You may not be able to open the same file at the same time, but otherwise it would work.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
