Specs: Windows xp home, 3 x 256 DDR2
I have Pressario SR1910AN. Integrated graphics card, 3x 256 RAM sticks, 80 GB ATA (PATA) 7200 RPM. Running XP Home.
It has been difficult to boot recently. I have to turn off and on a few times to boot. Last night, watching vids on internet and the video was freezing. This morning did a restart and fans on, cd on lights on but blank screen. No BIOS .....nothing. Can this be a video prob or HDD?
Put XP Cd in the Cd runs but still blank screen. have tried a different monitor, checked cabled, checked RAM seating. All looks ok, no overheating etc.
What can this be?

Either the power supply is bad, or the power circuitry on the motherboard is going. This is definitely not a HDD problem, and probably not video related.

-Hook up a power supply that you know is in good shape and run the computer for a few hours. If it doesn't boot, you probably have a bad motherboard.
-Check for leaking/bulging capacitors on the motherboard.

Capacitors all look good. Power supply is good too. You may be right, possible MOBO problem. Darn it :(
